2025 Community Walk for Mental Wellness

In line with MIND’s 2025 Mental Health Awareness theme — “Community” — Living Christ Mission UK hosted a powerful gathering on May 18th at Angel Community Centre, Edmonton.

Our “Community Walk for Mental Wellness” brought people from all walks of life together in unity, prayer, and support — reminding us that mental health heals, not in isolation, but in connection.

Through every step, smile, and shared conversation, our volunteers helped break the silence and stigma around mental health leaving participants with a clear path for awareness, recovery or post-recovery support. It was more than an event — a declaration to exemplify how healing begins when we show up for each other.

As we go through our goals for 2025, it is crucial to remember that stronger communities create stronger minds. If you need any support or help within your neighbourhood around London and environs, the LCM UK is only one contact away.

Children’s Day STEAM Talent Exhibition

Ahead of the national/international Children’s Day held every 2nd Sunday of May in the UK (and 1st of June in other countries), LCM UK hosted a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) talent show for young children.

Exhibitions on display include a 2D interactive graphic design of a cafe/coffee shop built using Roblox, a C++ driven prototype of an ultrasonic wave-actuated automated toll-gate, and artistically inspired beaded trinkets and mosaic ornaments.

The event also featured mechanical automobile assembly demonstrations, a lemon fountain and climbing rainbows practicals: all fascinating early year chemistry projects capturing the innovativeness of children across age brackets.

“I am very excited and I look forward to making even better projects next year,” an excited Master Victor Uzoma reacted upon winning the star prize for the most innovative STEAM project. Master Uzoma has created the C++ driven prototype of an ultrasonic wave-actuated automated toll-gate.

Palm Sunday Awareness Walk

As a faith-based Charity true to its mission to meet community needs where needed most, Living Christ Mission UK held a Palm Sunday awareness and sensitisation march at Enfield Borough, London in April.

Over 50 volunteers of the charity from all across the UK, gathered at Enfield for the neighbourhood walk to celebrate and engage locals on the significance of Palm Sunday—a Christian event marking Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem over 2000 years ago.

More than ever, events like these aim to spread hope, strengthen and encourage locals to aspire to the highest virtues of their faith—whatever this may be—and approach our community with a positive spirit for progress.

But impact, for us, is not just in words. And that’s why we took the time to hand out warm packages and special gift T-shirts to lucky recipients, many of whom showed delight to learn about the charity and its good works in the UK and across the world.
