Over 8 million metric tonnes of waste make it to our oceans each year.

And that’s why, volunteers from the Onyinyeomachukwu Empowerment Foundation (OEF) and Living Christ Mission UK (LCMUK) teamed up to carry out a community beach clean across historic Cornish beaches, SouthWest UK, in anticipation of the Great British Beach Clean this September.

In line with MIND’s 2025 Mental Health Awareness theme — “Community” — Living Christ Mission UK hosted a powerful gathering on May 18th at Angel Community Centre, Edmonton.

Our “Community Walk for Mental Wellness” brought people from all walks of life together in unity, prayer, and support — reminding us that mental health heals, not in isolation, but in connection.

 

Ahead of the national/international Children’s Day held every 2nd Sunday of May in the UK (and 1st of June in other countries), LCM UK hosted a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) talent show for young children.

Exhibitions on display include a 2D interactive graphic design of a cafe/coffee shop built using Roblox, a C++ driven prototype of an ultrasonic wave-actuated automated toll-gate, and artistically inspired beaded trinkets and mosaic ornaments.

 

As a faith-based Charity true to its mission to meet community needs where needed most, Living Christ Mission UK held a Palm Sunday awareness and sensitisation march at Enfield Borough, London in April.
